September 2017- New sires join Procters and Tatham Hall

A trio of new sires have been purchased for use this autumn, with rams purchased at the Solway and Tyne Club sale, Carlisle, and Kelso Ram Sale.

First among these three is Milnbank American Sniper, a ram bought for 10,000gns at Carlisle. He is a son of Strathbogie Yes Sir is out of a dam by Strathbogie Untouchable and is shared jointly with the Drumgooland flock of the O’Connor family, Northern Ireland.

Then at Kelso we paid £9000 for Thrunton Younique, a son of Forkins Viagra and out of a dam by Scrogtonhead Powerhouse. He was bought for his scale, stretch and carcass.

And the final new addition to the sire team is Strawfrank Alphonso, another ram bought at Kelso. He is by Ballynahone Yorkie and out of a dam by Strathbogie Usher and carries both Duncryne Uber Cool and Allanfauld Rockafella in his back pedigree. He has an index of 449 and is shared with the Arkle and Ellen Valley flocks of the Wilkinson family.
