September 2018 – Sportsmans Batman joins Procters Flock

The Solway and Tyne Texel Club’s sale at Carlisle saw the flock invest heavily in its next stock sire, with Sportmans Batman purchased for 100,000gns.

Batman, a son of Garngour Alabama, is out of a dam by the 145,000gns Knap Vicious Sid and had been champion in the pre-sale show.

A powerful, upstanding ram with great presence and breed character, combined with a great top and loin, Batman is a ram we think a lot of and one which is undoubtedly going to have a positive influence on the flock.

Meanwhile, the sale was also successful for the flock on the sales front, when Procters Bobby Dazzler sold at 9000gns. This son of the 10,000gns Milnbank American Sniper is out of a dam by Tophill Union Jack and had stood reserve champion in the pre-sale show, having been male champion at the Great Yorkshire Show in July. He sold to Donald and Sarah MacPherson for the Hexel flock.
