Outstanding trade at Select Seven Sale

Saturday’s Select Seven Sale saw our six gimmers achieve an outstanding trade, selling to a top of 12,000gns and averaging £7035 for the consignment.

Leading the way at 12,000gns was our second gimmer in the sale, PFD1701618. This Teiglum Younggun daughter is out of a dam by Scrogtonhead U Stoater and goes back to the 50,000gns Haddo Ringleader and the flock’s Chessy ewe.

She sold in-lamb to this year’s main service sire, the 100,000gns Sportsmans Batman and was bought by Messrs Boden and Davies, for the Sportsmans flock.

Second best from the pen was the next in at 11,000gns, with this being PFD1701576. This one is another by Younggun and is this time out of a dam by Anglezarke Uno and going back to a Knock granddam. Selling with an index of 350 and again in-lamb to Batman, she was the choice of David Morrison, Dalwyne.

Following her at 10,000gns was PFD1701566. This is another by Teiglum Younggun and out of a dam by Scrogtonhead U Stoater and again sold in-lamb to the 100,000gns Sportsmans Batman. Selling with an index of 355, she is from the same family as the flock’s top priced lot and was knocked down to Gordon and David Gray of the Ettrick and Tima flocks.

Then making 3000gns was Anglezarke Uno daughter PFD1701811. This upstanding gimmer is out of Procters Sexy Lady, herself a Haddo Ringleader daughter, making her a maternal sister to the Royal Welsh interbreed winning Procters Ulrika.

Selling for 2200gns was our last in the pen, PFD1701568, a Younggun daughter out of a Stoater dam and going back to an Ettrick ewe by Knock Papoose. She has an index of 360 and was also in-lamb to Batman being bought by Messrs MacArthur, Nunnerie.

And wrapping up the sale was a 2000gns bid for PFD1701973, a Younggun daughter out of a dam by Tophill Union Jack and going back to the tremendous Annan ewe. Again in-lamb to Batman, she was sold carrying a single.

We are delighted to have achieved such a successful result at the renowned Select Seven Sale and wish all our buyers the very best of luck with their purchases.
