Ewe lamb takes titles at Great Yorkshire

Last week’s Great Yorkshire Show was a huge success for the Texel team with our ewe lamb PFD1903114 taking the female and breed championship in the Texel section before going on to stand reserve interbreed champion and be part of the interbreed pairs championship winning duo.

Sired by the 100,000gns Sportsmans Batman and out of a dam by the 70,000gns Teiglum Younggun, which stood second at the Royal Welsh last year as a gimmer. The ewe lamb had previously been second at the Royal Highland Show two weeks earlier.

Adding to the success at Great Yorkshire was aged ewe HBR1600780, with this one standing second in her class and being a daughter of Duncryne Uber Cool and out of a dam by Springhill Silverstone.

In shearling ewes PFD1802456 was third, with another ewe lamb, PFD1903105 also taking second behind the breed champion.

The gimmer is a Procters Abracadabra daughter out of a dam by Glenside Whiskey Galore, while the ewe lamb is another by Batman and out of a Teiglum Younggun-sired dam.

In the male classes ram lamb PFD1903196 stood fifth, with this lamb being another by Batman and out of a Strathbogie Ya Belter dam. Meanwhile, shearling ram THF1802586 was also fifth.
