Batman sons fly at sales

This year’s Scottish National Sale, Lanark, was hugely successful for the Procters flock, with sons of the 100,000gns Sportsmans Batman highly sought after.

Topping our trade at 16,000gns was Procters Cocktail, a Batman son out of a dam by Strathbogie Ya Belter, with this one from the same family as the 9000gns Procters Vagabond and the noted ewe Procters Vicki. He sold to a Northern Irish consortium of Alastair Gault, Forkins and Richard Henderson, Ballynahone.

Following him at 12,000gns was Procters Cheeky Money, another by Batman and this time out of a Teiglum Younggun daughter. He is a full brother to the reserve champion at the Royal Welsh and sold to David Morrison’s Dalwyn flock and the Gilmour family’s Humestone flock.

And then at 11,000gns was Procters Candycrush. Again by Batman, he is out of a another Teiglum Younggun daughter and is a full brother to the Royal Welsh interbreed winning Procters Cinderella. Buying this one was Rob Evans, Hope Valley.

And selling for 8500gns was Procters Class Act. this is another Batman son out of a Younggun dam, with his grandma being a full sister to Procters Ulrika. He sold to Charles Harkin, Northern Ireland.

And at the Solway and Tyne Club Sale, Carlisle, Procters Chumba Wumba continued the success of Batman offspring when selling for 15,000gns. This lamb is out of a dam Teiglum Younggun and is a full brother to the ewe lamb which was interbreed champion at this year’s Royal Welsh Show. This one sold in a two-way split to the Clark family, Garngour, Teiglum and Clarks and Donald and Sarah MacPherson, Hexel.
